Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of My hands . . ."    Isaiah 49:26

He Guided them by the skillfullness of His hands. Psalms 78:72

Are we willing to become this lump of clay in the Father's hands to be molded, and reshaped if needed to become that beautiful, precious, useful vessel in God's Kingdom?

Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time.  I Peter 5:6

Isa 62:1 For Zion's sake will I not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem's sake I will not rest, until the righteousness thereof go forth as brightness, and the salvation thereof as a lamp that burneth.

Isa 62:2 And the Gentiles shall see thy righteousness, and all kings thy glory: and thou shalt be called by a new name, which the mouth of the LORD shall name.

Isa 62:3 Thou shalt also be a crown of glory in the hand of the LORD, and a royal diadem in the hand of thy God.

Isa 41:10 Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

Isa 29:23 But when he seeth his children, the work of mine hands, in the midst of him, they shall sanctify my name, and sanctify the Holy One of Jacob, and shall fear the God of Israel.

Isa 29:18 And in that day shall the deaf hear the words of the book, and the eyes of the blind shall see out of obscurity, and out of darkness.

Ps 95:7 For he is our God; and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand. To day if ye will hear his voice,

Ps 95:8 Harden not your heart, as in the provocation, and as in the day of temptation in the wilderness:

Ps 31:5 Into thine hand I commit my spirit: thou hast redeemed me, O LORD God of truth.

Jer 27:5 I have made the earth, the man and the beast that are upon the ground, by my great power and by my outstretched arm, and have given it unto whom it seemed meet unto me.

Pr 1:24 Because I have called, and ye refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no man regarded;

Pr 1:23 Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you.

Isa 50:2 Wherefore, when I came, was there no man? when I called, was there none to answer? Is my hand shortened at all, that it cannot redeem? or have I no power to deliver? behold, at my rebuke I dry up the sea, I make the rivers a wilderness: their fish stinketh, because there is no water, and dieth for thirst.

Zec 7:11 But they refused to hearken, and pulled away the shoulder, and stopped their ears, that they should not hear.

Mt 23:37 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!

The Nail Scarred Hands of Jesus

Are Unselfish  Hands

John 13:3-5 Jesus knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands, and that he was come from God, and went to God; He riseth from supper, and laid aside his garments; and took a towel, and girded himself. After that he poureth water into a bason, and began to wash the disciples' feet, and to wipe them with the towel wherewith he was girded.

Mark 1:40-42 And there came a leper to him, beseeching him, and kneeling down to him, and saying unto him, If thou wilt, thou canst make me clean. And Jesus, moved with compassion, put forth his hand, and touched him, and saith unto him, I will; be thou clean. And as soon as he had spoken, immediately the leprosy departed from him, and he was cleansed.

Mark 9:17-27 And one of the multitude answered and said, Master, I have brought unto thee my son, which hath a dumb spirit; When Jesus saw that the people came running together, he rebuked the foul spirit, saying unto him, Thou dumb and deaf spirit, I charge thee, come out of him, and enter no more into him. And the spirit cried, and rent him sore, and came out of him: and he was as one dead; insomuch that many said, He is dead. But Jesus took him by the hand, and lifted him up; and he arose.

The Power of the Holy Spirit
The Finger of God

"And He gave unto Moses, when He had made an end of communing with him upon Mount Sinai, two tables of testimony, tables of stone, written with the finger of God."  Exouds 31:18

"Then was part of the hand sent from Him;  and this writing was written. . ."   Daniel 5:24

The word hand in this Scripture is 3028H and means power. The part of the hand that has power is the finger of God.  The power of God is in the Holy Spirit.

"But truly I am full of power by the Spirit of the Lord. . ." Micah 3:8

"But ye shall receive power after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you. . ."  Acts 1:8

"But if I with the finger (the power of the Holy Spirit) of God cast out devils, no doubt the Kingdom of God is come upon you."   Luke 11:20

The Five Fold Hand Ministry of Ministry

"Elijah went up to the top of Carmel;  and he cast himself down upon the earth, and put his face between his knees, and said to his servant, Go up now, look toward the sea.  And he went up, and looked, and siad, There is nothing.  And he said, God again seven times.  And it came to pass at the seventh time, that he said,

Behold!  There ariseth a little cloud out of the sea, like a man's hand."   I Kings 18:42-44

And He (Jesus) gave some, apostles;  and some, prophets, and some, evangelists;  and some, pastors, and teachers; for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ.  Ephesians 4:13-14

Helping Hands

The Helping Hands of Aaron and Hur to hold up Moses' hand in the day of battle

A church opened a nursery where children could be left during Sunday worship services.  It didn't last long because most parents preferred to have their kids with them in the sanctuary - - along with their brothers, sisters, and grandparents.  In this church families - -  sometimes as many as four generations - - believe in being and staying together.  On a typical Sunday morning a teenage girl holds a toddler in her arms, keeping the baby quiet while her mother serves as an usher.  A grandmother looks up a Scripture passage and shares it with the youngster sitting next to her.  In the choir whole families sing together - - in some cases all three generations.  During the week young and old attend family nights at the church for Bible Study.  And periodically there's one very unusual class for young people (which might well explain why there's no need for a nursery).  It's a class in etiquette - - proper manners for worshiping in God's house!  Even the church's building and grounds are maintained by families working together.  What a blessing to hear of a church where firm family foundations are being built together.  Taken from Guideposts, February 1986
