Vital Words to the Body of Christ
Freely We Have Received, Freely We Give

Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come." I Corinthians 10:11

The Old Testament has much to tell us concerning the day in which we live. The three young men in Daniel, chapter 3, are a victorious, overcoming example to us upon whom the ends of the world are come. Daniel tells us:

"There are certain Jews whom thou hast set over the affairs of the province of Babylon, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego; these men, O king, have not regarded thee: they serve not thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up. Then Nebuchadnezzar in his rage and fury commanded to bring Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. Then they brought these men before the king. Nebuchadnezzar spake and said unto them, Is it true, O Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, do not ye serve my gods, nor worship the golden image which I have set up? Now if ye be ready that at what time ye hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, ye fall down and worship the image which I have made; well: but if ye worship not, ye shall be cast the same hour into the midst of a burning fiery furnace; and who is that God that shall deliver you out of my hands? Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, answered and said to the king, O Nebuchadnezzar, we are not careful to answer thee in this matter. If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king. But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up. Then was Nebuchadnezzar full of fury, and the form of his visage was changed against Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego: therefore he spake, and commanded that they should heat the furnace one seven times more than it was wont to be heated. And he commanded the most mighty men that were in his army to bind Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, and to cast them into the burning fiery furnace. Then these men were bound in their coats, their hosen, and their hats, and their other garments, and were cast into the midst of the burning fiery furnace. And these three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, fell down bound into the midst of the burning fiery furnace. Then Nebuchadnezzar the king was astonied, and rose up in haste, and spake, and said unto his counsellors, Did not we cast three men bound into the midst of the fire? They answered and said unto the king, True, O king. He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God." Daniel 3:12 - 25

The three Hebrew young men not only were loosed from all the bondages of the world, their fleshly nature, their fleshly weaknesses and all the dross were burnt off as well.

"But who may abide the day of his coming? and who shall stand when he appeareth? for He is like a refiner's fire, and like fullers' soap: And He shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: and He shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the LORD an offering in righteousness." Malachi 3:2-3

What came forth out of that fiery furnace was the three young men's new bodies with the appearance as the Son of God.

"Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when He shall appear, we shall be like Him; for we shall see Him as He is. And every man that hath this hope in Him purifieth himself, even as He is pure." I John 3:2-3

"And the princes, governors, and captains, and the king's counsellors, being gathered together, saw these men, upon whose bodies the fire had no power, nor was an hair of their head singed, neither were their coats changed, nor the smell of fire had passed on them." Daniel 3:27

Praise the Lord, the world and its rulers (Nebuchadnezzar and his officers) saw one like unto the Son of God. The world will no longer see three young men, but those three becoming one - - - with the appearance of the Son of God.

Until we enter the furnace of refinement we are not yet what we shall appear. But when He shall appear with us in the furnace, then we shall be like Him, for we and all the world will see us as ONE with the Son of God. Jesus' whole desire is to have a people who will become one with Him.

"At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you." John 14:20

"That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent Me. And the glory which thou gavest Me I have given them; that they may be one, even as We are one: I in them, and Thou in Me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent Me, and hast loved them, as Thou hast loved Me." John 17:21-23

The day is nigh at hand when all the world is going to recognize the New Spirit Man. These will have put off the deeds of the flesh and all will see them as the rulers in Daniel saw the three young men.

When we become this New Spirit Man, the fires will have no power on us, for we will have the power of the Holy Spirit. Our coat which is our robe of righteousness will no longer have the smell or the stench of sin. We will have put off everything of the old fleshly nature, and will no longer be a stench in God's nostrils.

"And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the LORD of hosts, that I will cut off the names of the idols out of the land, and they shall no more be remembered: and also I will cause the prophets and the unclean spirit to pass out of the land." Zechariah 13:2

Nothing of the old fleshly nature or the idols of the land will be remembered or come to mind. Praise the Lord!

Isaiah tells us of the fire God is going to bring at the end of this age:

"Behold, I have refined thee, but not with silver; I have chosen thee in the furnace of affliction." Isaiah 48:10

God's remnant will be chosen in the furnace of affliction. The furnace is where each one God chooses will be purified. God's remnant will be without spot or wrinkle, holy and without blame, Ephesians 5:27. Peter, who was given the keys to the Kingdom, informs us:

"Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:" I Peter 4:12

We should not think it strange when God turns up the heat to purify us as His pure gold and silver. Peter also explains the reason for God's fiery trials:

"That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:" I Peter 1:7

God must purify us if we are to be a praise, honor, and glory to Him when He comes to be glorified in His saints. The message for God's people in the end of this age is "Purification!" God is not going to accept those in His Kingdom who are lukewarm, uncommitted, and unpurified.

We need to cry out as Paul:

"That I may know Him, and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being made conformable unto His death;" Philippians 3:10

Paul travailed for God's people to come into this place:

"My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ be formed in you," Galatians 4:19

"And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts." Galatians 5:24

"For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also aboundeth by Christ." II Corinthians 1:5

Peter also tells us:

"Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;" I Peter 4:1

God purified Israel in the iron furnace before He could take them into their promise land, Jeremiah 11:4. The same is true today. God is using the cleansing fire of the Holy Spirit to cleanse His chosen before He can take them into their promise land, the Kingdom of God.
