Beware Against Settling Back on Our Lees,

Taking Our Ease, and Doing As We Please?

We greet you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. We made it to the new millennium with very few reported glitches in the computer services. We are aware there were many more glitches than were reported. Many have declared the problems with the computers are over, and many have went back to sleep, believing all is well. The All-wise Solomon wrote concerning the sluggard:

"Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep:" Proverbs 6:10

Those who believe all is well have overlooked many factors: the change of government in Russia, the peace talks with Israel and Syria, the stock market reacting to the people's complacency, and the news declaring all is well, "Peace and safety for mankind on planet Earth". Paul warned:

"For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape." I Thessalonians 5:3

God has not canceled His judgment. He has only delayed it. Man believes he can solve his own problems and that he is in control of his situations. Many who prepared for the Y2K bug have been hoodwinked into eliminating their stored food and water. This is not the time to get comfortable. We need to use this extra time to get more ready for the coming storm, both physically and spiritually. The prophet Zephaniah warns:

"And it shall come to pass at that time, that I will search Jerusalem with candles, and punish the men that are settled on their lees: that say in their heart, The Lord will not do good, neither will He do evil." Zephaniah 1:12

Beware! Do not let sudden destruction catch you unawares. God has not changed His mind. He has given His people a little more time. Praise the Lord!
