Thy Will Be Done In Our Earth

Today there are many religious groups who call themselves Kingdom teachers, and yet they miss the main point of the Kingdom message. In His Sermon on the Mount, Jesus declared:

"Thy Kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven." Matthew 6:10

When this Scripture is read, invariably it is mistakingly read as: "Thy will be done on earth." God's will in our life can never become a reality on earth, until it becomes His will in our earthly bodies. Luke recorded:

"And when He was demanded of the Pharisees, when the Kingdom of God should come, He answered them and said, The Kingdom of God cometh not with observation. Neither shall they say, Lo here! Or, lo there! For, behold, the Kingdom of God is within you." Luke 17:20-21

More than anything else, God desires His will to be done in our earth. This is nothing more than obedience to His Word. God gave us the Bible so we could know without a doubt what His will is for each one of us. And yet man continues to try to please God by his good works, and by keeping the precepts and doctrines of his religious system. In his letter to the Romans, Paul declared:

"For the Kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost." Romans 14:17

The Kingdom of God can only be obtained by and through the Holy Ghost. Righteousness, peace, and joy are all fruit of the Spirit. Today many so-called Kingdom teachers teach obtaining the Kingdom without the Holy Ghost anointing. These teachers and teachings can only fail, and leave the hearers empty and without hope. There is a Kingdom to be gained, but it can only be obtained when we allow the Holy Ghost to change our lives. The Kingdom can only be obtained when the old man nature gives up and allows the new man who is created in righteousness and true holiness to be birthed. By Jesus' Word we know the way we must go:

"But seek ye first the Kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." Matthew 6:33
