My Heart is Fixed
My Mind's Made Up
I'm Going With Jesus All The Way

by K. Huff

". . . I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after Mine own heart, which shall fulfill all My will." Acts 13:22

The Lord knew David's heart. David had a heart for God. When David sinned, he always repented. He never made excuses for his mistakes. David fulfilled the Lord's will because his heart was searching the heart of God.

"O God, my heart is fixed: I will sing and give praise, even with my glory. Awake, psaltery and harp: I myself will awake early. I will praise Thee, O Lord, among the people: and I will sing praises unto Thee among the nations." Psalm 108:1-3

David's heart was fixed. The word fixed means "to be firm, stable, established, stedfast." The word early means "early, every morning." David's heart was fixed to seek God first, by praising, praying, and meditating on Him.

"Give ear to my words, O Lord, consider my meditation. Hearken unto the voice of my cry, my King, and my God: for unto Thee will I pray. My voice shalt Thou hear in the morning, O Lord; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto Thee, and will look up." Psalm 5:1-3

David promised the Lord he would pray every morning. David would look up, not down or looking around when trials came. David knew the Lord was His help when he prayed early in any trial or problem.

"I will lift up mine eyes to the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord which made heaven and earth." Psalm 121:1-2

Lift up your eyes unto the Lord.

Don't look down. Be not dismayed.

God is near when we seek Him early and look up

"And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads for your redemption draweth nigh." Luke 21:28

When we seek the Lord early in our troubles and look up, our deliverance will be close at hand. We live in a time when sin abounds and the days are evil. But where sin abounds, Praise God, grace doth much more abound.     Romans 5:20

Fix your heart! Stay steadfast with God!

Look up! For your redemption draweth nigh!

Wisdom

"Wisdom is the principal thing:
therefore get wisdom:
and with all thy getting get understanding."
Proverbs 4:7

God put this Scripture in the Bible for us to know how to get wisdom.

"How much better is it to get wisdom than gold! And to get understanding rather to be chosen than silver!" Proverbs 16:16

Wisdom and understanding is better than silver and gold because you can't find wisdom and understanding all the time.

"Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time." Colossians 4:5

When we tell someone about wisdom and explain it to someone who does not have it, then they can have it too. God wants us to ask for wisdom.

"And God said to Solomon, Because this was in thine heart, and thou hast not asked for riches, wealth, or honour, nor the life of thine enemies, neither yet hast asked long life; but hast asked wisdom and knowledge for thyself, that thou mayest judge My people, over whom I have made thee king: Wisdom and knowledge is granted to thee . . ." II Chronicles 1:11

Would you like God's wisdom?

"If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him." James 1:5
