Nuggets of Gold

a chip off the gold mine of God's Word

Vital Words To The Body of Christ from  New Foundations Ministries

God has given us a window of time to share some nuggets of gold from His Word. As His Word declares:

"Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his Lord hath made ruler of His household, to give them meat in due season? Blessed is that servant, whom his Lord when He cometh shall find so doing." Matthew 24:45-46

As we share the meat in God's Word as nuggets of gold, we encourage you to let the light of God shine in your soul to change you into the image of God's only begotten Son, Christ Jesus our Lord.

As we share these nuggets of gold, we must come to understand that God's Word is revealed by His Spirit through similitudes, types, and shadows, as well as direct words of prophecy.

The Marriage Supper of the Lamb

John records Jesus' words concerning the marriage of His Son:

"And the third day there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee; and the mother of Jesus was there:" John 2:1

We notice this marriage took place on the 3rd day. We are very near the end of the 2nd day. The Marriage Supper of the Lamb lies directly ahead of us in the 3rd day.

"And both Jesus was called, and His disciples, to the marriage." John 2:2

We are Jesus' disciples, and we too are called to the Great Marriage Supper of the Lamb at the end of this age.

"And when they wanted wine, the mother of Jesus saith unto Him, They have no wine." John 2:3

The wine represents the effervescence of God's anointed Word. The mother of Jesus stated, "they have no wine". Today the church system has no wine (God's anointed Word). Instead, they teach for doctrines the commandments of men, Matthew 15:9.

"Jesus saith unto her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? Mine hour is not yet come." John 2:4

Jesus spoke of His mother. Paul informs us that our mother is Jerusalem from above.

"... Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all." Galatians 4:26

The mother, the Jerusalem from above, is the Holy City, New Jerusalem, made up of God's saints who endure to the end.

"His mother saith unto the servants, Whatsoever He saith unto you, do it." John 2:5

If we are to enter into, and be part of the Holy City of God, we must become obedient to God's voice and His Word.

"And there were set there six waterpots of stone, after the manner of the purifying of the Jews, containing two or three firkins apiece." John 2:6

Take note, there were six waterpots. Six is the number of man. These waterpots were made of stone. In Jesus' day, waterpots were not usually made of stone, they were made of clay, hardened by fire. Today the church system is made up of water pots made with hardened clay which break under the least adversity. But praise the Lord, the waterpots at the Marriage Supper will be made of living stones, I Peter 2:5, who have been tried by the fire and not destroyed.

John tells us these water pots were two and three firkins apiece. This alludes to the tabernacle in the wilderness which contained three divisions: The Outer Court, the Holy Place, and the Most Holy Place. Only those in the second and third areas will be part of the Marriage Supper. There will be no one firkin, outer court saints there. In the outer court there is no covering (no Holy Spirit). Those in this area only walk in natural light.

"Jesus saith unto them, Fill the waterpots with water. And they filled them up to the brim." John 2:7

What a promise! Those who are in the two and three firkin areas, the Holy Place and the Most Holy Place are going to be filled to the brim with the water of God's Word.

"And He saith unto them, Draw out now, and bear unto the governor of the feast. And they bare it." John 2:8

The governor of the feast is God the Father who has waited for this feast of His Son from the beginning of time, longing and desiring to once again walk and talk with His creation man in the cool of the day as He did in the Garden of Eden.

"When the ruler of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and knew not whence it was: (but the servants which drew the water knew;) the governor of the feast called the Bridegroom, and saith unto Him, Every man at the beginning doth set forth good wine; and when men have well drunk, then that which is worse: but thou hast kept the good wine unto now." John 2:9-10

Jesus turned the water into wine. Those water pots who have been filled to the brim with the water of God's Word will witness this same miracle when their water is turned into the effervescent, anointed Word of God. This anointed Word will flow from their innermost being to bring life to everything it touches. Those who are called to the Marriage Supper will be full of this new wine which He has kept in store until this time. This new wine will be abundantly poured into the waterpots made of living stones.

Those who are invited to the Marriage Supper of the Lamb will be given their wedding garments. Those who do not have on their wedding garments will be speechless. These are those who will be bound hand and foot and cast into outer darkness (the wrath of God), where there will be weeping and wailing and gnashing of teeth, Matthew 22:11-12.

Today is the day we need to make sure our wedding garments are spotlessly clean. Luke records Jesus' words:

"Blessed are those servants, whom the Lord when He cometh shall find watching: verily I say unto you, that He shall gird Himself, and make them to sit down to meat, and will come forth and serve them," Luke 12:37

Today is the day we should be filling our water pots with the pure Word of the living God. Only those who are filled with God's Word will be invited to the Marriage Supper of the Lamb.
