Freely We Have Received, Freely We Give
Ancient Israel depended on several crops for their existence. Wheat, barley, and rye were their bread and cereal crops. Dates, figs, and grapes were their food and drink crops. Sheep, cows, and asses were their meat crops. If any one of these crops failed, it affected the whole nation of Israel.
All these crops were important. But one of the most important of these was the grape crop, called the fruit of the vine. This crop provided food and drink for Israel. The juice of the grape was also used in their religious ceremonies to worship God. Because they had no refrigeration, Israel had no way to keep the grapes or the juice for long periods of time. Three stages were used to preserve the grapes and the juice: firstly as juice, secondly as unfermented wine, and thirdly as fermented wines. Throughout the Bible, God uses these three stages to reveal man's relationship to his God. When Jesus gave us the parable of the sower, He related these three areas of development in our walk with our God:
"But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the Word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty." Matthew 13:23
The thirty, sixty, and hundred fold realms refer to the three realms of maturity in every person's life - - - firstly as babies, secondly as teenagers, and thirdly as adults. These three areas of growth are laid out in the tabernacle Moses constructed in the wilderness. The tabernacle had the outer court, the holy place, and the most holy place. There were three openings in the tabernacle: the gate, the door, and the veil. Jesus spoke of the gate to His disciples:
"Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it." Matthew 7:14
All who come to the saving grace of Jesus Christ must enter in at the gate. When we come into salvation we enter the outer court which is the thirty fold, baby realm. The Apostle Peter informs us:
"As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the Word, that ye may grow thereby:" I Peter 2:2
As babies we feed on the milk of the Word. Why? It is so we may grow into the teenage realm. But many who come by way of the cross have no desire to go any further because they have been taught when they receive forgiveness of their sins, they automatically become sons of God, and they are safe, home free, and heaven bound. In his letter to the Hebrews, Paul informed them:
"For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the Word of righteousness: for he is a babe." Hebrews 5:13
Those who remain unskilful in the Word remain in the baby realm, the outer court of the tabernacle. Everything in the outer court realm is made of brass. The brazen altar and the laver are the symbols of dealing with our sin. But as we grow in God's Word, we advance toward the sixty fold realm. Then we must pass through the door. Jesus stated:
"I am the door: by Me if any man enter in, He shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture." John 10:9
Jesus is the door. It is only by Jesus that we can be saved. Those who enter in at the door shall find pasture, or food to live by in the Word of God. But before one could pass through the door in Moses' Tabernacle they had to be anointed and have a change of garments. This anointing was accomplished by the rubbing on of the anointing oil. Today we call this the baptism of the Holy Spirit. The change of garments was the putting on of the priestly apparel.
As we enter the door into the sixty fold realm we come into the presence of the candlestick. The candlestick represents the ekklesia or the church. The word EKKLESIA means the "called out ones." In the holy place we also have the table of shewbread - - - or our provision of the bread of life. We also see the altar of incense where we offer up our constant praise before our God. All the articles in the holy place are made of gold. Gold is the symbol of God. John recorded Jesus' words:
"Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber." John 10:1
We know no thief or robber will enter into the presence of God. The sheepfold is where we find God's sheep, His church. The sheepfold or the holy place is the suffering realm. This is where man must deal with his old, Adam, carnal nature before he can enter through the veil into the presence of God. Jesus informed us:
"Then said Jesus unto His disciples, If any man will come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross and follow Me." Matthew 16:24
If we are to come after Christ, then we must deny ourselves and take up our cross and follow after His example. Most in the church system are hanging on to the cross Jesus died on. But each of us must die to self on our cross that we have been given. Paul understood this process. He wrote to the Corinthians:
"I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our lord, I die daily." I Corinthians 15:31
Paul died daily to the desires of the flesh. This dying takes place in the holy place, the sixty fold realm. This is why it is called the suffering realm. Until we die to self, self rule, and all selfishness, we can progress no further. This is the overcoming realm. We must continue to grow and change until we are ready to enter through the veil into the very presence of the living God.
When we pass through the veil, we see the ark of the covenant, the cherubim, and the mercy seat. It was between the cherubim that God met with the high priest once a year. This is the hundred fold realm, the realm of the overcomers, the rulers and reigners with God. This is also called the most holy place. This is the adult realm.
There are no short cuts to this realm. We all must go through the outer court baby realm and the holy place suffering teenage realm before we can enter through the veil into the most holy place. How do we gain entrance through the veil? Paul explains in his letter to the Hebrews:
"By a new and living way, which He hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, His flesh;" Hebrews 10:20
We are to enter the hundred fold realm by a new and living way. As Paul stated ". . . which He hath consecrated for us through the veil." The word consecrated means "to renew again." What is the veil that separates man from God? The flesh is the veil that separates man from God. We must go on beyond the fleshly understanding the fleshly teachings of Jesus. This veil has blinded their eyes, so they cannot see Jesus in the holy of holies where He wants to meet man and speak to him face to face.
One of the lessons we are to learn in the holy place so we are able to enter through the veil of Jesus' flesh is to learn the position Jesus holds today - - - and that is of the risen, glorified Christ. Today we need to know Him as Christ Jesus. Man must go on beyond his fleshly understanding of Jesus. When we come to this place, we have come to the hundred fold realm, the mature, adult realm. This is when we see past Jesus Christ to His position today as Christ Jesus.
As we look at the thirty, the sixty, and the hundred fold realms in the tabernacle, we discover these three different realms reveal the three different church groups in existence today. As we consider the three stages of the grape: the juice, the unfermented wine, and the fermented wine, it becomes obvious the old line church system is represented by the thirty fold realm. There is no effervescence in the old church system, no spark of life. We can relate this to the outer court of the tabernacle. There was no covering over the outer court. The outer court is where the brazen altar sat. This is where the sin offering was sacrificed. This represents those who come to Jesus with a repentant heart. Next in the outer court is the laver. This is where those who have come to the brazen altar and repented of their sins are washed. This represents water baptism. These are the only two instruments in the outer court. This is as far as those who occupy the old church system have gone. And they truly believe they are home free and heaven bound. This is because the minister has told them they are saved and are now the sons of God.
These were denominations started by the teachings of men. These were good men with good ideas, but they set their teachings in stone, and these teachings have become the precepts and doctrines the church system has been run by ever since. They teach these precepts and doctrines in their seminaries. And all who go through their seminaries must teach these time worn teachings.
Yes, these indeed, are in the grape realm, the outer court realm of repentance and water baptism. In his letter to Timothy, Paul describes this church system:
"Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away." II Timothy 3:5
The old church system are found only in the outer court. These only have a form of godliness. Their worship of God has become a form religion. They have their dress codes and have become separatists, just like the Pharisees in the New Testament. They only fellowship with their like-kind. And as Paul related to Timothy, they deny the power. What is the power? The power is the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is our covering. But as we discovered, there is no covering in the outer court. The Apostle John explains:
"But as many as received Him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name." John 1:12
Beloved, there is a going on in God. We must go beyond the thirty fold, outer court realm. We must go beyond our initial repentance and water baptism. We must not deny the power of the Holy Spirit cleansing in our lives. We must continue on to the sixty fold and hundred fold realm if we are to become the sons of God.
As long as we are unskilled in the Word of life, we remain babies in the thirty fold realm. Throughout the Word, God has described this as the lukewarm church, with their watered down messages to tickle the ears of those who attend their meetings. The prophet Isaiah spoke of these churches in the outer court realm:
"Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near Me with their mouth, and with their lips do honour Me, but have removed their heart far from Me, and their fear toward Me is taught by the precept of men:" Isaiah 29:13
These attempt to worship God with their mouth and with their attendance in the church. But their hearts, (their minds) are far from Him. They believe as long as they keep the precepts of the one who founded their denomination, then they are alright with God. This is how they are taught, but by Jesus' own words we know:
"But in vain they do worship Me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men." Matthew 15:9
As long as these churches try to worship God by the commandments and doctrines of men, then their worship of God is vain (worthless). Again Jesus explains:
"Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity." Matthew 23:28
The church system puts much stock in the outward appearance. But as the prophet Samuel proclaimed, "God does not look on the outward appearance. He looks upon the heart," I Samuel 16:7. If the heart (the mind) is full of hypocrisy (play acting) and iniquity (unrighteousness), they can never be pleasing before God. Paul described the pastors of these churches in his letter to the church at Rome:
"An instructor of the foolish, a teacher of babes, which hast the form of knowledge and of the truth in the law." Romans 2:20
These pastors have become instructors of the foolish, still teaching them as babies. These only have a form of knowledge. The only knowledge these have is what they are taught in their seminaries and what they have been taught in the law. These have denied the power of the Holy Spirit of God. Many times these ministers bring their people back under the old law. As Paul wrote to the church at Galatia:
"Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster." Galatians 3:24-25
When we come to Christ, (the Holy Spirit) we are no longer under the schoolmaster (the law). We are to serve God by faith, not by the law. To the Romans, Paul declared:
"For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth." Romans 10:4
When we come to Christ (the Holy Spirit), then we have come to the end of the law. If we desire to be under the law or any part of it, then we are considered to be unbelievers. As Paul related to the Romans:
"But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of His." Romans 8:9
We must go beyond the outer court into the holy place which is covered by the Holy Spirit. We must go beyond the law. Many of these churches keep their people under the law by keeping the Sabbath or Saturday meetings. These need to remember the words Paul wrote to the churches at Galatia:
"Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace." Galatians 5:4
When Paul wrote to Timothy, he told Timothy to turn away from those who deny the power. This is the same message he gave to the Thessalonians:
"Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us." II Thessalonians 3:6
We are not to walk with those who walk disorderly to the Word of God. The church system has walked disorderly, not adhering fully to the Word of God, on how the church is to operate. They operate their churches by the one man, one plan method. They hire a man to run their worship service, and as long as he pleases the board that hired him, he can stay. If he steps on toes, then he is replaced by another hireling, and the process goes round and round. As stated before, this is a Pharisaical order. Jesus reveals what He thought of the scribes and Pharisees as recorded by Matthew:
"Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men's bones, and of all uncleanness." Matthew 23:27
Jesus called them hypocrites (play actors). Like the Pharisees, many today look good when they come to the services, but they are only white washed tombs, full of dead men's bones, or they are dead to the power of God. These have no covering of the Holy Spirit in their lives. They are dead to any Spiritual move of God. They only know what has been taught from their pulpits. They have no anointing to learn from the Word of God for themselves. Their Bibles are worn out on the outside, but the pages are still stuck together on the inside. As the Pharisees, these look good on the outside, but they are spiritually dead. Beloved, we must go on beyond the thirty fold, outer court realm. We must continue to the sixty fold realm, the Holy Spirit covered realm of God.
The Unfermented Wine
The next church group are those who make up the unfermented wine. These are those who have entered the door into the holy place. The unfermented church consists of those who have received the firstfruit of the Spirit, but have gone no further in their walk with God. When they received the anointing and spoke in tongues, they thought they had received their ultimate position in Christ. In reality, they have only entered into step sixty-one of the sixty fold suffering realm.
The holy place is the overcoming realm, and it takes much suffering and overcoming in this realm to prepare them to enter through the veil into the hundred fold realm. On the Day of Pentecost, the firstfruit anointing came upon the one hundred and twenty in the Upper Room. As we look again at the Day of Pentecost, there are things we must see and understand.
"And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place." Acts 2:1
First this event happened when the Day of Pentecost was fully come. What we call Pentecost was Israel's Feast of Weeks and was to be celebrated fifty days after the waving of the sheaf. The waving of the sheaf was eight days after the Feast of Passover. But the Jews celebrated the Feast of Weeks (Pentecost) fifty days after the killing of the passover lamb. So, as Luke recorded those in the Upper Room celebrated the Feast of Weeks when it was supposed to be celebrated - - - fifty days after the waving of the sheaf not fifty days afer the Feast of Passover. The waving of the sheaf was to assure a bountiful harvest. Jesus spoke through the pen of Luke:
"And, behold, I send the promise of My Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high." Luke 24:49
Jesus' disciples were waiting for the promise of the Father. We need to ask, "What promise had the Father made to those in the Upper Room?" This was Jesus' speaking, and we need to recognize who Jesus' Father was. Luke recorded:
"And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be of thee shall be called the Son of God." Luke 1:35
It was the Holy Ghost who overshadowed Mary when Jesus was conceived in her womb. The Holy Spirit is the Father, the power from on high. This is the power the outer court rejected. And as Luke recorded, Jesus was the Son of God. Therefore, we must declare the Holy Spirit is God the Father. This was a new thing.
Joseph, Mary's husband had never been with Mary. When Joseph did not understand what had happened, the Lord appeared to him to assure him of Mary's honor.
"But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy ghost." Matthew 1:20
So, here we have the second witness that the Holy Ghost was the Father of Jesus. With this understanding then we can see when Luke promised they would receive the promise of the Father, it was the Holy Ghost that was promised to come upon them. Praise the Lord! It is the Holy Ghost who is the Father and the power from on high. As we continue to look at Acts, chapter two we discover:
"And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them." Acts 2:2-3
As stated before, the waving of the sheaf was to assure a bountiful harvest. The coming of the holy Spirit was to assure God a bountiful harves of His saints.
The Holy Spirit came as cloven tongues of fire and sat upon each of them. The cloven tongues of fire is the cleansing fire God sends to cleanse us from all unrighteousness; and enables us to overcome all the old, Adam, carnal, nature in our lives. This cleansing fire happens in the holy place, the sixty fold suffering realm of God. The Apostle Paul spoke about having this firstfruit anointing of the Spirit:
"And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body." Romans 8:23
Paul realized when he had the firstfruit anointing, then he still had to wait for the adoption and the redemption of his body. This firstfruit anointing came in the early nineteenth century on Azusa Street. It was renewed in the 1940's and was called the Latter Rain Movement. It was again renewed with the Charismatic Movement. These outpourings of the firstfruit anointing began the unfermented wine church system, which began many denominations. These moves of God all came with the sign of speaking in tongues. So, we can see by the anointing with this move of God, the fermentation process had begun. But there still had to be much cleansing by the cloven tongues of fire to bring the fermentation process to the new wine state.
The Pentecostal church system believes when they speak in tongues they have arrived at perfection (maturity). Peter, who was given the keys to the Kingdom, informed us:
"But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you." I Peter 5:10
Peter speaks of those who have come through the door into the sixty fold, suffering realm. He tells us those who are called into this walk in Christ Jesus must suffer to become perfect (mature). They must suffer to be stablished (set firmly in place). They must suffer to be strengthened (made strong). Yes, they also must suffer to be settled (set on a firm foundation.) Suffering is God's tool to make us able soldiers, ready to do battle. Peter continues:
"To Him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen." I Peter 5:11
Those who allow this cleansing fire to do its work in the sixty fold realm will come into God's glory behind the veil in the one hundred fold realm. These will have been prepared to take dominion over all God's creation, as Adam was instructed to do in the garden.
The unfermented church system puts much credence in the fact they speak in tongues. Paul addressed this in his letter to the Corinthians:
"Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away." I Corinthians 13:8
The word charity has nothing to do with our giving. The word charity should have been translated AGAPE LOVE. This is the type of love God has toward His church. This type of love can never fail.
Paul also stated, if there be prophecies, they shall fail. The word fail means "to be without influence, inoperative, and inactive." We hear many prophecies coming from the unfermented church system that are simply inoperative, inactive, and without influence.
Paul also revealed, tongues shall cease. The word cease means "no longer stirred by incitements and seductions." Tongues are a temporary gift.
Paul continued, knowledge shall vanish away. Paul is referring to our worldly knowledge. The closer we get to the hundred fold realm, the less our worldly knowledge will have any affect in our lives. Paul continued:
"For we know in part, and we prophesy in part." I Corinthians 13:9
Those who dwell in the sixty fold realm only know in part, or they have not come to a full understanding of God. This is why what they prophesy will fail. Paul continues his revelation:
"But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away." I Corinthians 13:10
When that which is perfect (mature) is come, then all that we know in part will be done away. The phrase done away is the Greek phrase KATARGEO. It is the same word Paul used as fail. So their prophecies will fail, their tongues will cease, and their knowledge will vanish away. As we continue to look at what the Spirit inspired Paul to write:
"When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things." I Corinthians 13:11
As we realize the reason for Paul writing his letter to the Corinthians, we must look back to chapter three to see how Paul addressed this church:
"And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ, I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able." I Corinthians 3:1-2
Paul's letters to the Corinthians were to set order in the church. And yet the unfermented church system has used Paul's admonitions to the Corinthian out of order church as to how they are to run their services. Paul was admonishing the Corinthian church to cast off their childish ways. Paul used himself to show the Corinthians how they were to cast off their childish ways when he disclosed:
"When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things." I Corinthians 13:11
Paul was encouraging the Corinthians to put away their childish beliefs. He told them what they were doing was going to be done away with. This is the lesson the unfermented church system needs to learn so they too can put away their childish beliefs. This must be done in the sixty fold, suffering realm so they can enter in through the veil into the hundred fold unlimited realm of the Father. When this is accomplished the fermentation process will be complete in their lives. Paul then gives us the hope of our calling:
"For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known." I Corinthians 13:12
The word glass means "mirror." Now, when we look into the mirror of life, we only have a distorted view of life itself. But when we pass through the veil, we will be able to see God face to face. Then we will have a complete understanding why God created man in the beginning, and that is so He can have fellowship with His creation.
Paul admitted he only understood this in part. But he realized he was going to know all things as he was known. We are known by our names. So what Paul was saying was, "I will know all things as well as I know my own name.
The New Wine Realm
When the cloven tongues of fire has completed its work in the holy place, then one is prepared to enter through the veil into the adult, hundred fold realm of God. The hundred fold realm of God is the complete realm, the realm of those who have reached perfection (maturity). This is the new wine realm. So how does one attain to this new wine realm behind the veil? John gives us insight into the answer to this question. We are informed the Marriage Supper of the Lamb takes place behind the veil. Jesus and His disciples were invited to this Marriage Supper:
"And the third day there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee; and the mother of Jesus was there:" John 2:1
This marriage supper will take place on the third day. Jesus spoke of this third day. When the Pharisees came to warn Jesus that Herod was planning to kill Him, Jesus' reply was:
"And He said unto them, Go ye, and tell that fox, Behold, I cast out devils, and I do cures today and tomorrow, and the third day I shall be perfected." Luke 13:32
It will be on the third day when Jesus will be perfected. How is He going to be perfected? The word perfected means "to be complete or mature." The prophet Hosea also spoke of the third day:
"After two days will He revive us: in the third day He will raise us up, and we shall live in His sight." Hosea 6:2
Those who live in His sight are those who go through the veil. Hosea continues:
"Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the Lord: His going forth is prepared as the morning; and He shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth." Hosea 6:3
So we come to the knowledge that the hundred fold realm is the double portion realm. This double portion of the anointing will come upon those who have allowed the cleansing fire of the firstfruit anointing to do its complete work. Again, we look at the Marriage Supper:
"When they wanted wine, the mother of Jesus saith unto Him, They have no wine. And there were set there six waterpots of stone, after the manner of the purifying of the Jews, containing two or three firkins apiece." John 2:3 & 6
These water pots are very important. First there were six waterpots. Six is the number of man. Next, we find these waterpots were made of stone. Most waterpots in ancient Israel were made of fired clay, but these waterpots were made of stone. The Apostle Peter explained these stone waterpots:
"Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ." I Peter 2:5
The word lively should have been translated "living stones." These stone waterpots are those who will make up God's holy priesthood and will offer up spiritual sacrifices unto God.
"Jesus saith unto them, Fill the waterpots with water. And they filled them up to the brim." John 2:7
The water represents the Word of God. These stone waterpots were filled to the brim, or they were completely filled with the Word of God. When these stone waterpots were filled with the Word, Jesus touched this water (the Word), it was turned to new wine. Praise the Lord!
Then Jesus told the servants:
"And He saith unto them, Draw out now, and bear unto the governor of the feast. And they bare it." John 2:8
The governor of the feast is the Father of the bride, thus He is Christ Jesus, the risen, glorified Christ.
"And when the ruler of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and knew not whence it was: (but the servants which drew the water knew:) the governor of the feast called the bridegroom." John 2:9
What was the response of the governor of the feast when he tasted the new wine?
`And saith unto him, Every man at the beginning doth set forth good wine; and when men have well drunk, then that which is worse: But thou hast kept the good wine until now." John 2:10
God has saved the new wine anointing until this last generation. And those who are filled with the Word will receive the double portion anointing. Peter proclaimed this generation:
"But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of Him who hath called you out of darkness into His marvellous light:" I Peter 2:9
Those who attend the Marriage Supper of the Lamb and drink of this new wine are that chosen generation. They are the royal priesthood who will enter behind the veil into the presence of God, where as Hosea proclaims, "We will live in His sight."
These are a peculiar people. The word peculiar means "purchased possession." These are those who have been called out of the darkness of the world into God's glorious light.
When John was on the Isle of Patmos, he heard the voice of a great multitude, and this voice proclaimed:
"Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to Him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and His wife hath made herself ready." Revelation 19:7
The wife will have made herself ready for the Marriage Supper. How is she going to be prepared?
"And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints." Revelation 19:8
The bride was clothed in fine linen which is the righteousness of the saints.
"And He saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And He saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God." Revelation 19:9
These are those who have allowed the cleansing fire to do its complete work in their lives. John again revealed who this bride is:
"And I John saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband." Revelation 21:2
John saw the holy city coming down out of heaven. We need to understand heaven is not a physical place, it is the Spiritual realm of God. Looking further at this holy city we discover:
"And the twelve gates were twelve pearls; every several gate was of one pearl: and the street of the city was pure gold, as it were transparent glass." Revelation 21:21
This holy city contained the pearly gates and the streets of gold. But the church system calls this place heaven, where all the saved will go, to spend eternity. But what did Jesus show John? Jesus showed John that this city is coming down from God, out of heaven. This city is prepared as a bride for her husband. Then Jesus explains what and who the holy city really is:
"And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb's wife." Revelation 21:9
Now Jesus is going to reveal who will be present at the Marriage Supper:
"And He carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the Holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God, having the glory of God: and her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal;" Revelation 21:10-11
The Lamb's wife is the holy city, and again, we see the holy city descending out of heaven from God. So heaven is not a place we are going to when we die. The holy city is what we become when we go behind the veil where God is going to tabernacle (dwell) with man. This is the promise Jesus made to all who will hear:
"And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself shall be with them, and be their God." Revelation 21:3
This is our eternal dwelling place with God. This is the new wine company who will be changed in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye - - - of which Paul wrote of to the church in Corinth, I Corinthians 15. Jesus made another promise to John:
"And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away." Revelation 21:4
This is the promise the church system teaches their people they will receive in heaven. But in reality, this is the promise God makes to those who become part of His holy city. So who are those who will make up God's holy city? Again, Jesus explains to John:
"And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the Mount Sion, and with Him an hundred forty and four thousand, having His Father's name written in their foreheads." Revelation 14:1
The one hundred and forty-four thousand represent the Lamb's wife who will make up the God's holy city. These have the Father's name written in their foreheads. Who is the Father? The Holy Spirit is the Father. These are those who have received the double portion anointing. John continues:
"And they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth." Revelation 14:3
These have been redeemed from the earth (the flesh realm), and have become part of the Spiritual realm of God. These will minister in the earth realm, but will dwell in the Spiritual realm. Who will qualify for this walk with God:
"These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever He goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb." Revelation 14:4
These will not be defiled with women (the church system). These follow their God wherever He sends them. These have been redeemed from among men. The word redeemed means "to pay the full price for." These are the firstfruit company. These are the stone water pots who have been filled with the Word that is going to be turned to wine at the time of the double portion anointing. The Apostle John gave us insight to this firstfruit anointing:
"Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you." John 15:13-14
This is the group of people Jesus laid down His life for. These are His friends. Then how do we become part of His friend company? We can only become part of God's friend company if we do whatever He commands. These are those Jesus revealed to John when he wrote, "These follow the lamb wherever He goeth." These are the redeemed. John continues:
"Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his Lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of My Father I have made known unto you." John 15:15
These have come out of the servant realm, and have become His friends. And Jesus is going to reveal all things He hears from the Holy Spirit to His friends. John continues his revelation:
"Ye have not chosen Me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in My name, He may give it you." John 15:16
Those who enter through the veil have been chosen by God, but they still need to bring forth the fruit of the Spirit in their lives. Paul explained our being chosen in God, to the church at Rome:
"For whom He did foreknow, He also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of His Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren." Romans 8:29
Those God predestined for this calling are to be conformed to the image of His Son. The word conformed means "having the same form as another."
"Moreover whom He did predestinate, them He also called: and whom He called, them He also justified: and whom He justified, them He also glorified." Romans 8:30
Again, we see the three areas of growth. As we saw in the tabernacle, first we are called. This represents the outer court. Then we are justified. This represents the holy place, the cleansing, refining realm. Then we are glorified. This takes place in the Holy of Holies, behind the veil. We also see these same three realms in God's called, His chosen, and His elect. Paul revealed this same message to the Ephesians:
"In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of Him who worketh all things after the counsel of His own will:" Ephesians 1:11
The predestined are those who will have obtained an inheritance. These are joint heirs with Christ. So, who will obtain God's inheritance? Jesus explained this to John:
"He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be My son." Revelation 21:7
Only the overcomers, those who enter through the veil, will inherit. How much will they inherit? They are going to inherit ALL things. These will be His sons. These will be part of His marriage supper, and these will make up His holy city.
The new wine is about to be poured out to the governor of the feast. Praise the Lord!
