The Golden Cup of Abomintaions

God has prospered America above every nation on earth. But we have turned the Golden Cup the Lord had in His hand, to our own pleasure and greed. The Golden Cup is now in the Whore's hand.

"And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication:" *** Revelation 17:4

The whore filled the golden cup with abominations and the filthiness of her fornication. God will fill her with judgment because of her sin.

"For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities.

Reward her even as she rewarded you, and double unto her double according to her works: in the cup which she hath filled fill to her double." *** Revelation 18:5-6

All nations have drunk from this cup and all nations are mad. God's judgment fell that very night on Ancient Babylon. Just as Belshazzar called for the Golden Vessels which his father, Nebuchadnezzar had brought from the temple to serve his drunken guests wine, so will God's judgment fall on this nation. We have taken the Golden Cup from the Lord's hands and turned it to our own greed, pleasure and lust; and God's reward for this will be just.

Jeremiah spoke unto Babylon,

God has warned His people to flee this nation before the final destruction comes. Jeremiah records this 5 times:

"The voice of them that flee and escape out of the land of Babylon, to declare in Zion the vengeance of the Lord our God, the vengeance of His temple." *** Jeremiah 50:28

"Flee out of the midst of Babylon, and deliver every man his soul: be not cut off in her iniquity; for this is the time of the Lord's vengeance; He will render unto her a recompence." *** Jeremiah 51:6

"We would have healed Babylon, but she is not healed: forsake her, and let us go every one into his own country: for her judgment reacheth unto heaven, and is lifted up even to the skies." *** Jeremiah 51:9

"My people, go ye out of the midst of her, and deliver ye every man his soul from the fierce anger of the Lord." *** Jeremiah 51:45

"Ye that have escaped the sword, go away, stand not still: remember the Lord afar off, and let Jerusalem come into your mind." *** Jeremiah 51:50

Jeremiah says, "Ye that have escaped the sword, (those who have escaped the Fall of Babylon), "Go away, leave, flee. Remember the Lord far away."

Why would the Lord be far away? Because this nation has fallen into gross sin. Her sin has reached to heaven. Jeremiah records, "Flee out of the midst of Babylon, and deliver every man his soul. Be not cut off in her iniquity."

God reveals that He would have healed Babylon, but she is not healed. Babylon would not repent of her sins. God says to forsake her, and go every one into his own country.

Her judgment has reached into heaven, *** Jeremiah 51:9. Another way of saying this is: The stink of her sin has reached the nostrils of God, and God's judgment has come.

When the judgment of God has been fulfilled upon this nation, nothing will remain. God has warned His people to flee the wrath to come. When this time of fleeing comes, it will not be man that will be leading God's people to their place of safety, but the voice of God will go before His people. Those who know His voice and are obedient to His voice will be in a place of safety that God has prepared for them, where they will be fed for one thousand, two hundred, and three score days, (1260 days), while the wrath of God is being poured out.

We need not be partakers of the coming wrath. God will lead His people out, not by a non-existent rapture, but by His voice. Many are praying for God to heal Babylon, but Babylon will not be healed. Her judgment is sure.

"Thus saith the Lord of Hosts; Consider your ways." *** Haggai 1:7
