The Heat of the Day by J. Kirkpatrick
Plea to the Pastors
The Heat of the Day
by Jeannie Kirkpatrick
Have you ever felt like you have to bear more than you can endure? Have you asked the Lord to turn down the heat? Be encouraged! To those who must endure much affliction and heat, God would have you know He is preparing you for a ministry. A ministry to those who are destined for the Day of Wrath. The heat God is putting you through is to prepare you to help others in the days ahead.
The literal wrath of God is about to be poured out on all unrighteousness in the church. There is only one way we can enter into the Kingdom, and that is through much persecution. To you who have had to endure the heat of the day, be encouraged and know that you will be ministering to your brothers and sisters who must go through God's coming judgment. Many lying words have been spoken in our day, saying God's people will be taken out before anything happens. Listen to Jeremiah as he speaks to Christian America:
"Behold, ye trust in lying words, that cannot profit.
Will ye steal, murder, and commit adultery, and swear falsely, and burn incense unto Baal (the god of increase), and walk after other gods whom ye know not; And come and stand before Me in this house, which is called by My name, and say, We are delivered to do all these abominations?"
Is this house, which is called by My name, become a den of robbers in your eyes? Behold, even I have seen it, saith the Lord." Jeremiah 7:8-11
"Do they provoke me to anger? saith the Lord... Therefore thus saith the Lord God: Behold, Mine anger and My fury shall be poured out upon this place, upon man, and upon beast, and upon the trees of the field, and upon the fruit of the ground: and it shall burn, and shall not be quenched." Jeremiah 7:19-20
These lying words coming forth state that God's people are not destined for His wrath. God would have you to know that His wrath will surely come upon you, and it will come upon you to make you strong. God's wrath is His mercy, so you will not be totally consumed. God would have you to know, Christian America, "Now is the Day of Preparation".
God has given us many examples of His coming wrath in His Word, and how He will take His people through it. Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego and their experience in the fiery furnace is a type and shadow for our day. God's people are about to be thrown into the fiery furnace of God's wrath. Nebuchadnezzar commanded his most mighty men to bind Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, and cast them into the burning fiery furnace.
Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego represent God's people who are bound with their worldly garments. God's people, who are not prepared in this day, are destined to have all worldly influences burned off in the fiery furnace, so they may go into the Kingdom free from any worldly bondages. Notice, Daniel's words:
"Then Nebuchadnezzar the king was astonied, and rose up in haste, and spake, and said unto his counsellors, Did not we cast three men bound into the midst of the fire? They answered and said unto the king, True, O King.
He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God." Daniel 3:24-25
There is hope, even for those who are destined for God's wrath. All the bondages that keep them from serving Him with their whole hearts will be burned away. God has promised through the example of the fiery furnace there will no hurt come upon you. The only thing that will be burned away are the bondages the world has tied you up with. Daniel further records:
"And the princes, governors, and captains, and the king's counselors, being gathered together, saw these men, upon whose bodies the fire had no power, nor was an hair of their head singed, neither were their coats changed, nor the smell of fire had passed on them." Daniel 3:27
Isaiah tells of a place prepared for those who are destined to endure the heat of the coming wrath of God:
"And there shall be a tabernacle for a shadow in the daytime from the heat, and for a place of refuge, and for a covert from storm and from rain." Isaiah 4:6
John, in the book of Revelation, reveals:
"And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent." Revelation 12:14
There are two places to be in the day of God's wrath. There will be a place of protection for the woman, "the true church" who has prepared herself through the heat of this Day of Preparation. The second place to be is in the wrath.
"And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ." Revelation 12:17
There is a second group of people destined to endure the heat of the wrath. This is for the remnant of the church who were not made ready in the Day of Preparation. These must endure to the end. "But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved," Matthew 24:13. Who are the remnant of the seed of the woman? These are shown to us in Revelation 7. These are those who come out of great tribulation to stand before the throne of God.
"And one of the elders answered, saying, unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they?
And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
"Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve Him day and night in His temple: and He that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them. Revelation 7:13-15
These are the "servant saints" who must overcome in the Day of Wrath. These were not prepared in the Day of Preparation. Have you prepared for the Day of Wrath? Or, will you be one who keeps God's commandments and the testimony of Jesus but neglects to prepare in the Day of Preparation? Which group will you be in?
But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, What manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,
Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?" II Peter 3:10-12
Are you preparing now to become "comforters"? Today is the Day of Preparation! Become as those in Isaiah who:
"...are for a covenant of the people to establish the earth, to cause to inherit the desolate heritages:
That thou mayest say to the prisoners, Go forth; to them that are in darkness, Shew yourselves. They shall feed in their ways, and their pastures shall be in all high places." Isaiah 49:8-9
Will you be one who is prepared to set the captives free? To free those who are...
"...a people robbed and spoiled; they are all of them snared in holes, and they are hid in prison houses: they are for a prey, and none delivereth; for a spoil, and none saith, Restore," Isaiah 42:22.
Will you be a prepared one crying "RESTORE"?
PLEA TO THE PASTORS OF MY PEOPLE
" ...Ye have scattered my flock, and driven them away, and have not visited them: behold, I will visit upon you the evil of your doings, saith the Lord.
And I will gather the remnant of my flock out of all countries whither I have driven them, and will bring them again to their folds; and they shall be fruitful and increase.
And I will set up shepherds over them which shall feed them: and they shall fear no more, nor be dismayed, neither shall they be lacking, saith the Lord.
Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth." Jeremiah 23:2-5
Hear the Word of the Lord. Work while it is yet day, because the night is coming when no man can work. This is the acceptable time, the day to prepare. As Jesus spoke through the pen of Luke:
"Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man." Luke 21:36
