Mothers! Teach your Sons and Grandson

MOTHERS! TEACH YOUR SONS AND GRANDSONS
What is prophecy? Prophecy is the Hebrew word, Massa, 4853 and means a load, a burden. Lemuel's mother taught him the load and burden he must carry. Lemuel's name means "for God". Lemuel's mother knew that her son was to be taught "for God". She made sure that Lemuel was taught at, to, for, in, of and by God. She taught him to be an oracle "for God". She taught him how to carry the burden of discipline, instruction, admonishment and chastening so that he would be able to instruct his children "for God". She taught him to ask questions.
Lemuel's mother taught her son that it was his burden to teach his heirs and grandsons even from the womb. She had also vowed before his birth that she would teach her son these truths and maxims "for God". Lemuel's mother taught him that the burden was on him to raise his sons and grandsons in God's ways. He was not to bestow, grant, permit, ascribe, employ, entrust, give to another, yield, report to, nor extend this responsibility to anyone else. She taught him that the burden was on him, not to designate nor assign this to his wife. She taught him that this burden was in his strength and his ability. He was to have the burden to teach the ways and the ancient paths his sons and grandsons were to follow. He was to have the burden of forming habits and their moral character. He was to choose the course of life for his sons and grandsons. This was a great responsibility "for God". If he relinquished this responsibility to his wife, the kingship, the Lord's anointed would be blotted out, obliterated, and exterminated.
Lemuel's mother impressed very strongly that those who have the responsibility to advise and give counsel are not to drink wine nor strong drink. Wise counselors are not to drink of the cup of wicked deeds. Wise counselors are not to feast upon wicked deeds to the point of intoxication. Those who have the responsibility to give wise counsel and make weighty decisions are not to partake of intoxicating drunkenness because they will cease to care for their responsibilities. They soon ignore and forget how to govern with responsibility. Intoxicating endeavors repeated over and over again soon cause a responsible person to become altered, changed into something he is not. He soon disguises himself, hoping to portray in front of his family that he is responsible. But alas, the strong drink has made him weakened. He no longer has clear thinking abilities. He no longer can answer the hard questions. His mind becomes confused and blurry, until the government, the causes, the pleas, the judgments he must make are of no value.
Who then picks up the pieces? Is this not why the mothers sometimes must assume the Spiritual leadership of the home? Mother's teach your sons again to become the strength of the home, lest they repeat the same mistakes and bring your heirs and grandsons into Spiritual poverty, affliction and misery.
Mothers! We must step down from this position. In humility we need to relinquish the Spiritual headship of the home, once again to the Father. How can this be accomplished? We must teach our sons and grandsons to step once again into responsibility. The Spiritual men are vanishing. The fathers are bitter and in much pain. Our fathers have forgotten how to be responsible. They are silent and many times unable to speak. They feel bound. Instead of giving wise counsel and speaking wise judgments, they have become so bound they are unable to overstep their wives in any decision.
Mothers! We must again teach our sons responsibility. They must learn how to be law-givers. They must learn to decide controversies. They must again learn to decide the weightier decisions. They must again be taught to be the superintendent of the household affairs. They must again learn to conduct themselves with righteous character. They must again be taught to be the strong, firm master of the home.
"And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus." II Timothy 3:15
"THIS IS LIFE"
I was so excited as the nurse led me to the room where the ultra sound would be performed. As I prepared for the test, I wondered how the baby would look, or if it would even look like a baby. Was it just a "blob of tissue" as I had been told? Or was it in fact a person?
The nurse squeezed some clear, jelly like substance on my abdomen, flipped on a television screen and began to use the ultra sound device. I looked in wonder as she began pointing out the head, the hands, the feet, the heart. And suddenly, (as if that small, 13 week old baby knew she was being viewed), she grabbed the umbilical cord and began doing somersaults! Forward and backward and forward and backward. I could not believe it! I looked at the tiny hands holding on to the umbilical cord and the tiny toes on her feet as she jumped forward and backward, curling her body like a gymnast. I looked at the oversized head with eyes, a nose, a mouth and developing ears...yes, this was definitely a living person. God in His infinite wisdom had given not only life, but also a body, (not a blob of tissue), but a body, very much like my own! On February 3, 1984, our first daughter was born, Heather Faith Greeno.
In April, 1986, I also observed via ultra sound, our second daughter, also 13 weeks developed. She was jumping up and down in the womb. She would bend those tiny legs and leap straight up; throwing her tiny hands up. Once, it even seemed as if she was "waving" to us. She would open that tiny mouth, form a circle, then close it and suddenly she would bend, and leap straight up. She had a lot of facial expressions and body movements. She was born November 5, 1986, Bethany Veronica Laird Greeno. She was to be our last child, hence the two names sakes in the middle.
However, in November 1987, another ultra sound was performed. This time the child was actually sleeping with his thumb in his mouth. Once again the test was performed at 13 ½ weeks. He never moved. He just laid there with his thumb in his mouth. I watched his heart beat and thought..."This is life". Samuel David Greeno was born June 2, 1988.
"But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ..." II peter 3:18
"Let everything that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord." Psalm 150:6
"For in Him we live, and move, and have our being..." Acts 17:28
"That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after Him, and find Him, though he be not far from every one of us." Acts 17:27
"The hearing ear, and the seeing eye, the Lord hath made even both of them." Proverbs 20:12
"And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God." Acts 3:8
"And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing." Genesis 12:2
As Heather, when we grab onto the umbilical cord, the life line, we will begin to jump forth in excitement, joy, and happiness.
As Veronica displayed unique facial expressions, are we coming forth in the light of the Lord in our countenance?
As David, relaxed and was very content, are we content with the developing the Lord is forming in us?
Are we putting on the mind of Christ with seeing eyes
and developing a hearing ear, obedient to the Father's voice?
The Lord hath made even both of them, Proverbs 20:12.
Are we developing a mouth of praise, Matthew 21:16?
The following letter was received from a suffering saint: "Dear Alma, Am I alone, or is this what the Christ Body is going through? Do you hear this same thing from others? Are you going through things also? I have felt this way before, but never so strongly as now. Does this mean that the birth is upon us? We have thought and confessed it so many times, but could it be that finally it is coming upon us? Have we been hoping in vain, or is this finally our hope fulfilled? Have we been imagining? Or is our longing for this birth real, and about to take place? Does anyone have answers for all our groanings? Is there really a "day" coming? Is this truth that we have so desperately held onto, real? Or is this another one of our vain imaginations?
"I feel like a woman in labor who finally comes to the conclusion that she has never been pregnant in the first place and will never have this baby, because the labor has been going on for so long, she is ready to give up? Has God left us to die in giving birth? Maybe the answer is "Yes, we are to die in giving birth!" If we are both the woman and child in the same vessel, only one can live on, and that one can only be the new creation.
"O Dear Father, help us through our greatest weakness ...unbelief! Free us from our doubts. Whatever your pure truth is in this day, we desire it to come forth. Oh, that you would do away with all those things in us that keep us from coming forth in You! O Jesus, that we could finally see You as You really are, so we may become that which You purposed us to be from before the beginning!" (End of quotation from letter)
"For the children are come to the birth, and there is not strength to bring forth," II Kings 19:3. "Shall I bring to the birth, and not cause to bring forth? saith the Lord. Shall I cause to bring forth and shut the womb? saith thy God." Isaiah 66:9.
In reading the letter quoted above, I remembered again my own long and difficult labor with my first baby. And the thought came at one point, "I don't think I'm going to have this baby!!" Immediately I realized the wry humor of the thought. For here I was, great with child, and in hard labor, and there was no question but that I would have that baby, sooner or later! And I knew it had to be soon, for that stage had come! We shall bring forth that Christ life which has been growing within us! We shall come forth in His likeness, no matter what the timing. Yes, we need to "die" in giving birth to the new Life within! The manchild! Dying completely to self as we are fully conformed to His image, and Christ is manifested in His many brethren!
It was so real a year or two ago as I was so aware of my lack, weakness, failures and coming short! The Holy Spirit spoke these words to my heart, "Fear not! Thou shalt have this son also." These words were spoken to Rachel by the midwife, as she was in "Hard Labor" about to die in childbirth? Genesis 35:17. And she did die in giving birth to the son of the father's right hand! That is where we are. It is hard labor! We despair of life and feel that we shall never make it! And truly, we would not, except for the grace of our Lord...and His promise that He...yes, not we, but He would complete His work in us! We shall come forth in His likeness, no matter what the timing, or the details of what and how!!
The birth pangs are becoming more intense. And we feel the breath of the dragon who is now standing before the woman seeking to devour that NEW MAN within! But we see the prophetic certainty in Revelation 12. In Spite of the dragon's attempts to devour the child as soon as it was born, "She brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron; and her child was caught up unto God and to His throne."
"When the Lord turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream. Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing. Then said they among the heathen, the Lord hath done great things for them. The Lord hath done great things for us whereof we are glad. Turn again our captivity, O Lord, as the streams in the south. They that sow in tears shall reap in joy. He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him," Psalm 126:1-6
"A woman when she is in travail hath sorrow, because her hour is come; but as soon as she is delivered of the child, she remembereth no more the anguish, for joy that a man is born into the world," John 16:21.
Yes, in the midst of this travail, there are times when it does not seem real! "We were like them that dream!" "For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now. And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves GROAN within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, the redemption of our body, for we know not what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself maketh intercession for us with GROANINGS which cannot be uttered," Romans 8:22-26.
"Is this the truth that we have so desperately held onto, real.. or is this another vain imagination?" We have not passed this way before, and we know not the exact time of birth, or exactly what is involved in our coming forth in His image. We know we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is! And we know that each day brings us closer to that glorious moment! We need to let go of dogmatic interpretations, but HOLD FAST TO THE VITAL TRUTH OF GOD'S FAITHFULNESS! He is the Author and the Finisher of our faith. The Word of God cannot, will not fail! This birth will come forth. Hallelujah! That's where we all are...those who have made a covenant with Him by sacrifice, and have been following the Lamb (by His grace) all the way to Mt. Zion!
