Does your love to God change?
Do you ever think that God does not hear your prayers?
Do you feel like God never helps you?
Like you are the blame boy for everything that goes wrong?

Whatever happens to you, God sees and He knows why He is doing it.

"And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to purpose." Romans 8:28

Everything that happens to you works out for good. You may not know what good can come out of it then, but sometime later you might realize it.

Have you ever hated God? Or felt like going your own way and leaving God? It does not matter if you leave God or stay with Him, He will stay the same, He never changes what He says.

The world may change, we may change, but God never does. You may feel as if God blames you for everything, almost as if He hates you, but He never does. He loves you during the good times and the bad. He never changes His mind.

"Charity never faileth:" 1 Corinthians 13:8a

God's love never changes; it stays the same.

By Donna Bixler

"Thou therefore,my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also." II Timothy 2:1-2

The Lord is wanting you to be strong in Him. To make a stand and show others who it is you serve. It is real easy when you are at school or with peers your age to let down your standard. Or simply keep quiet about the Lord and your faith. But, the Lord is wanting you to be strong; be an example to teach others.

"Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ." II Timothy 2:3

Endure hardness as a good soldier simply means to be tough for Jesus. Don't be ashamed of Him.

"No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier. II Timothy 2:4

If your desire is to be the best you can be for God, then you are on the right path to being a good soldier. II Timothy says, "Consider what I say; and the Lord give thee understanding in all things. II Timothy 2:7-10. God will help you understand and make the right decisions in all things. He will help you understand how to be a good soldier.

I would like to go back to what I said at the start. Be strong for Him. Stand up and show others who you serve. If we die to the feelings and wants of this life we will reign with Him, but if we deny Him, He will deny us.

"It is a faithful saying: For if we be dead with Him, we shall also reign with Him: if we deny Him, He will also deny us: II Timothy 2:11-12

Don't deny Him. Stand up and show others about the Lord. Prove yourself to the Lord.

"Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." II Timothy 2:15

Work, live, and act the right way. Approved of God, so you don't need to be ashamed. Remember, if you are ashamed of God, God's ashamed of you. If God is ashamed you have no peace. And you'll be ashamed with yourself.

Are you confused, frustrated, or down? Are you trying to be well-liked, popular, or cool with your peers; but still trying to be pleasing to God and do what you know is right? These feelings are hard to deal with. They are hard for anyone; for any age, but especially when you are a teenager. You are wanting to make a name for yourself, become somebody.

You'll grow up and become an adult. You'll get new friends and new responsibilities, new struggles, new everything. But, God never changes. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. He's the only true friend you'll ever have. All your other friends and acquaintances that you will have will come and go as you get older. Junior High, High school, College, A Job, or Marriage. Whatever the direction of your life takes you'll pass through many phases and many friends. But God is God, and He will be with you through it all. If you will let Him. If you will stand for Him. What is important? Your life now? Your life all the way through? Or your eternal life? The decisions you make now will effect your life.

I made a decision to serve the Lord when I was a teenager and its been the best decision of my life. He was with me then, and He's with me now as I'm happily married to a wonderful man and raising two little boys. I know He'll be with me always if I stand to serve and be pleasing to Him.

Make a stand. That's what is important.
